The Last Style Standing
← Back to the game

The short version: this game collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, no chat and no tracking of any kind. The game makes no network requests at all beyond downloading its own files the first time you open it. We do not know who plays it, how often, or for how long.

Your progress is saved on your own device, in two browser storage systems, and never leaves it. The section below tells you exactly which two and exactly how to erase them — because getting that wrong is the one way this policy could mislead a parent, and an earlier version of it did.

What we collect

Nothing. No personal information, no device identifiers, no usage data, no crash reports, no location. There is no server to send anything to. We run no analytics and embed no third-party trackers, advertising SDKs or social widgets.

The game contains no artificial-intelligence features that run while you play: nothing you do is sent to any model or service, because nothing is sent anywhere at all.

What is stored on your device

The game saves your progress so that closing the tab does not cost you your belt rank. That includes your wins and belt progression, tournament and champion records, your chosen sub-style for each art, your control scheme and assist settings, music preference, tutorial completion, and your customised fighter.

All of it is stored on your device only, under keys beginning lss_. None of it is ever transmitted, and nobody but you can read it.

It is stored in two places, not one

This is the part an earlier version of this policy got wrong, and it is corrected here. That version said your progress lived in "your browser's local storage" and could be erased by clearing site data. The first half was incomplete and the second half could therefore fail in practice.

The game writes every save key into Local Storage AND mirrors it into IndexedDB, and on every load it copies back into Local Storage any key that has gone missing. So clearing only Local Storage does not erase a profile — it is restored from the IndexedDB mirror the next time the game opens. A parent who cleared Local Storage to wipe a child's profile would have found it back again, and this policy would have told them that should have worked.

StoreWhat it holdsWhy
Local Storage The live copy of every lss_ save key It is synchronous, so the game can read your settings the instant it starts
IndexedDB
(database lss-save)
A mirror of the same keys Safari automatically deletes Local Storage for a site you have not visited in 7 days. Without the mirror, a two-week holiday would factory-reset the game. IndexedDB is treated differently, and an installed home-screen app is exempt from that sweep entirely.

The mirror is a convenience for you, not a second copy for us. Deletions are mirrored too: when the game deletes a save key, it is deleted from both stores.

How to erase everything, for real

To remove all saved progress you must clear both stores. Every option below does that, because each clears all site data rather than Local Storage alone:

The one thing that will not work: a browser tool that clears Local Storage only, without touching IndexedDB. The profile comes back on the next load. If you want it gone, use one of the options above, which clear all site data for the game.

There is no cloud save and no account, so there is nothing on our side to delete and nothing to request a copy of. Switching browsers or devices starts you fresh for the same reason.

Children's privacy

This game was built with young players in mind and is used by families at a martial-arts academy. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, adult or child, there is nothing for a parent to consent to and nothing to opt out of.

Specifically, there is: no account or sign-up, no name or email ever requested, no chat or messaging, no multiplayer, no user-generated content, no sharing, no photographs or camera access, no microphone access, no location access, no advertising, and no in-game purchases of any kind.

Nothing a child does in this game can reach us or any third party, because the game has no way to send it. If a future version ever adds accounts, online play, or any form of data collection, this policy is rewritten and republished first — with verifiable parental-consent handling for players under 13 — before that version ships.

Purchases

If you bought the game through a storefront such as the Apple App Store, that purchase was handled entirely by the storefront. We never see your payment details, your billing address, or your account. The storefront's own privacy policy governs the transaction; this policy covers the game itself. What the storefront may share with us is limited to aggregate, anonymous sales reporting — how many copies sold in a territory, never who bought them.

Third-party services

None are embedded in the game. No analytics, no advertising network, no crash reporter, no font CDN, no social login. The typeface, engine and every other component are bundled with the game and served from the game's own files. The full list of third-party software, with licences, is in the notices file published alongside the game.

Changes to this policy

If the game ever begins collecting anything, this document is updated before that version ships, and the change is dated and described here. The version linked from the game and from its store listing is always the current one.
